Speaking of Murder . . .

On my way to my final day of summer class I snagged this pic from my car window. One day I will have to go back and take a proper picture. This is the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow. This is where the fabled Ichabod Crane was chased and perhaps murdered by the Headless Horseman, the ghost of a Hessian soldier who was decapitated by a cannon ball during the Revolutionary War. Muhu Haa haa haaaaaaa!

While your story of murder may be true, mine of course is fictional. But this Washington Irving story was based on real people. Though I have never seen it, I have been told that in the Old Dutch Church's cemetary, you can actually see the grave of Katrina Van Tassel, who was the object of old Ichabod's desires.—NY
