We just went to this new Korean-fusion restaurant, Namu Gaji, where I had the best okonomiyaki of my life. And I consider myself an okonomiyaki expert. It had just enough batter to hold the veggies together. We had other things, too: halibut sashimi, grilled octopus, shiitake dumplings in broth, pickled beef tongue, and coconut shave ice for dessert. I haven't been able to try new restaurants in a while, and I'm glad I could try this one for free! I'm writing it up in a travel story. What was a $140 meal, turned out to be just $6.51 (the cost of one Asahi nama biru). But, we're classy, so we tipped $50. I've got a few more exciting things to try before this story comes due, so I'll keep you posted.
I wish I could do this for a living. I've done a lot of it in my writing career, but can you imagine if I had carved my niche in travel writing rather than design writing? Is it too late to change direction? Travel has long been my passion, as you know. I'll officially put it out into the universe: I would like to be established as a reputable and highly sought-after travel writer for magazines.—SF
