50 Shades of Deliciousness

Oh my . . . you are so witty!!  :)   You just had to used that word delicious. It has been a struggle but since I discovered the 2X setting on my iPod for audio books getting through 50 Shades of Grey (Book II) has been much more tolerable for me. I am about a third of the way through and the word delicious has been used only 8 times to describe something other than food and 3 times to describe food. My ultimate irksome word "flush" is at 25. Fortunately for this book the author has discovered the word blush which she has used 9 times so far. I read in a review that she used flush more than 200 times in the first book. I wasn't counting then.

Not my book of choice but the missus wants me to read and it has made other things more delicious. Sorry . . . that apology is to myself for using that blasted word like that.

Forgive me but I don't remember teaching you how to make pan fried potatoes. My memory has always been rubbish. But your potatoes sure do look delish.

Speaking of potatoes, last night was a good night for me in the kitchen. The missus has to often suffer through my failed culinary experiments but not last night. I made green mashed potatoes. I have been wanting to make cauliflower mashed potatoes but buying a whole head of cauliflower seemed like a waste for two people. So, I blended a potato, broccoli, onion, butter and parsley smooth. If if wasn't so plain I would have posted a pic. The concoction far exceeded my expectations of deliciousness. —NY
