I am glad that you had a bright spot to an otherwise sucky experience. I think I would have made a sign and posted it on the car and driving it home. I am sure I would have been stopped but maybe a better chance at no guns being pulled. But perhaps that would have increased the chance. Ha ha
The drama is almost over. I've got new plates, just need to put them on when I get the car out of my friend's garage tomorrow. But I also have to go to the parking department. My parking sticker is marked with my old license number, so I gotta get them matched up. I didn't mind calling AAA because I didn't have to pay for the tow and it was the safest way to get home. There was no downside to it. Whereas there was a huge downside to driving the car. Not sure why you would even consider it.
