We camped in Narragansett, RI, then spent the day in Newport (first time there). We did one of those schooner sailing tours. Saw glimpses of the Folk Festival and I believe this was the finish line of a boat race, at least that was what our captain told us after a canon sounded after this boat past a buoy. It was a surprisingly nice "tour" and well worth the price of admission. —NY
Glad you got some camping in. What did the campground look like? I love camping, but after six days, I was done. I had seen enough redwoods, done enough hiking, peed enough times in the woods, gagged enough times in the public restrooms, got bitten by one too many mosquitoes. My bad back also suffered.
