Hanging in
Saturday after class I spent a couple of hours prepping work of my students for the student show. Pain in the butt. Then afterwards I dropped my work off at the gallery and half of the student volunteers didn't show so I helped out a bit.—NY
Well, that was nice of you. If there's one thing I know about myself, I don't really like to help out. Need help moving? Don't call me. Volunteering ain't my thing either. I admire people who do it selflessly, but I'm the kind of person who is preoccupied with what I could be doing for myself while I'm busy helping others. I know that's terrible, but at least I don't pretend otherwise.
