Puttin' on Ma Dancin' Shoes

Funny, that is a phrase I never thought I would say literally. I picked up a pair on Tuesday. One of the big ballroom dancing shoe sellers is about three blocks from my office. Our dance teacher is going to be disappointed when I walk in with shoes I didn't buy from them. They sell a small selection of shoes that are nice but all are $160. These were $109. Not cheap but a better price than the theirs. I will also probably get disappointing looks for getting split sole shoes. The other shoes just felt like regular shoes. I figured if I was going to buy fancy shoes I might as well get the ones that felt like gloves with a heel strapped on my foot. I read I could just glue suede on the bottoms of my dress shoes and have a pair ready for the dance floor for just $20. I also spent another $50 last week on a small bluetooth speaker. The missus always complains the music is too loud but I can't hear. So I bought this little guy and hooked is on a lanyard and I can hear every beat pulsing from my chest. —NY

  1. I also have a problem with loud music. M never thought his music was loud, but I guess girls just have more sensitive hearing. Oh, and nice heels :)

  2. She was telling me the music was too loud at the Y but you can clearly hear people dribbling basket balls up and down the court over head. She doesn't want to attract attention and be watched practicing by people passing by. And I hope I don't develop a brain tumor. At home I have been using headphones for the TV for about 4 years because she always wanted the volume so low I couldn't understand what was being said.
