A New Toy

First off, I hate the term Black Friday. It sounds so hopelessly negative. And it actually was a term coined by police and other people negatively affected by hoards of unruly shoppers the day after Thanksgiving. Now it is a marketing term that is supposed to make me shop!? But that being said while working Friday I got an email letting me know that a cameral that I had ben watching went on sale for a $150 off. I was actually eyeing the newer model but with that price cut I had to go with the year old model (now $299). The camera on the left is the camera I carry with me daily but I wanted more. My DSLR was just too cumbersome and heavy so I sprung for something in between. It has full manual control and the lens is very bright, good for low light and because of that lens letting in so much light, it blurs the background of the images more. It is too hefty to fit in my pocket but perfect to throw in my bag when I go to work. But my old trusty camera is pretty small and that is why I got that.—NY

  1. Mark has the camera on the right--but the one from like 5 years ago. It's a fantastic camera. I love that it still looks kind of old school.

  2. Speaking of old school, this is pretty much the cutest camera ever: https://www.onekingslane.com/product/27355/1152136?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sale

  3. That is cool that Mark owns one. I am all for old school and this does remind me of my old retired 35mm Nikons I got it because it has a lot of functions of a DSLR without the size and weight. I like to carry a camera with me everyday so this was the perfect solution. A little bit from both worlds. And would you believe they skipped model numbers 13 and 14. 13 is bad luck in the US and 14 is bad luck in some Asian countries. Go figure.
