View from my balcony at Carmel Valley Ranch. Here to try out two spa treatments for my wedding sourcebook. Have I mentioned to you that in producing this book, I am often in the twilight zone? I literally ordered a wedding cake (for a photo shoot), I'm shopping for wedding gowns (to put on the cover), I'm planning a trip to Maui (to "try out" a honeymoon), I'm at a spa now (to "try out" bridal treatments). This is definitely the road less traveled. Because in a "normal" world, in a "normal" life, all of these things would spell out marriage, plain and simple. But for me, they spell "work." It's a little disheartening, but I'm still hopeful. Maybe it's a peek into the future?—SF

  1. Try to appreciate it as best you can and don't let your thoughts of the possible future ruin this experience. That is an amazing view, solo wedding spa trip or not.
