Today was a bust. We had intended to go on a hike, but after an hour of wandering around, we still couldn't find the trailhead. I blame it on poorly written directions I found online. We decided to postpone the weekly hike until Saturday and go shopping for deals instead. So we headed to a nearby TJ Maxx, but we didn't find anything. So we decided to get an ice cream, which turned into burgers and fries, so add calorie guilt onto the disappointment of the day. Undeterred, we decided to cross the city and go somewhere else to shop for bargains. Still we came up empty, even after spending an hour in traffic and 90 minutes combing through racks. I also wasn't feeling too hot. I hadn't showered and felt all oily and bloated from the burgers, so clothes weren't looking great on me. All I have to show for this day is this awesome picture of the fog billowing over the Golden Gate Bridge, which we pulled over to the side of the road to take on our way to shopping destination number one.—SF

That is an amazing shot, worthy of a postcard. I hope your shopping ventures improve.
