This weekend we were checking out folding bicycles. For a brief moment I was stupidly considering an adult kick scooter for my commute. Even took it on a test ride and enjoyed it. But I decided there are just too many pot holes and a--holes in the city for me not to get myself killed on one.—NY
Wow. A folding bike is so smart! Are they expensive? Do you see people with them on the train or in the city?
ReplyDeleteThey can be expensive but they can be cheap too. I found a website called Citizen Bikes and you can actually get one for under $200 including shipping! But I think I am in the $400-$600 price range. One would be useless for my commute since I am only a mile from work and in a super busy part of town. The time I would save would be quickly lost in folding etc. But I would like to have a couple to put in the trunk for our weekend excursions. It would be great to be able to pop them out if needed. And yes, I do see them around the city and occasionally on the train.
