Today after walking blocks in wet pants and soggy shoes from a torrential down pour an hour earlier, I came across the 42nd Street Library (Peter Parker's uncle Ben died out side the building in the first Spider Man movie . . . I digress, sorry). On what I briefly learn when I stopped is this does seem like a bad idea to gut the historic building. So I say where is this petition that you want me to sign. After asking three people I am directed to a guy who they says has the "papers." He tells me I have to "sign" the petition on-line and gives me a URL. Ugh . . . you would think just for the sake of what they are trying to protect that they would do it the old fashioned way with pen and paper. Or at the very least, strike while the iron is hot and have a laptop set up for people to "sign" on the spot.—NY
I agree. If you're organized enough to stage a rally, then you should be organized enough to sign up on the spot.
