How fun! Hope you're nice and cozy. I love snow days. And I also hope your Saturday class is cancelled! Maybe you can do some skiing or something.
We woke up early and did the weekly hike at a redwood park in Oakland. Took a wrong turn on the trail and had to double back; I think we lost about 30-40 minutes on the mistake. But as M said, the mistake portion was the prettiest part of the hike! Of course, now we're down for the count. So tired. But I have a deadline.
Thank goodness class was cancelled. I really didn't want to drive in that mess. The down side is I have to make up the class sometime this semester. I don't think I will be skiing today but it certainly sounds like a waffle day.
I do wish I had some snow boots or snow shoes. I would love to go for a hike at the Rockefeller Preserve today. That would probably make for some really nice pics. But the snow is probably just too deep.
And having to back track on the prettiest part of the hike . . . you can't complain too much about that! —NY
