Spent the first day of 2013 on a hike to Tennessee Valley Beach. I remember a time when the parking lot would never be full, but in the last few years cars have had to resort to parking along the side of the road. Needless to say, it was very busy today. I had intended to stay home and write all day, but there was not a cloud in the sky and I knew I'd feel bad if I started the year out with my usual routine: staying home, not showering, and working all day. I think one of my resolutions has to be that I'll improve my time management enough to never sit at home all day. Hard to do when you're in a creative swing, or on deadline, but I don't doubt that I'll be all the better—and my work will be all the better—for trying.—SF

That's an unusual name for a beach in Cally. It looks like it was a nice walk. I have yet to go out this year other than take out the trash. I have a meeting with a client this afternoon and I haven't driven my increasingly not so reliable car for about a week and it is 14 degrees outside. I the car starts. —NY
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a pretty decent hike. About 3.5 miles round trip. I usually don't like to do more than 5 miles on a day hike. I just bought a book of Bay Area hikes from Amazon to help me with my New Year's Resolution.
DeleteI hope your car starts, too! We don't really have those problems in SF. We have other problems. Like it being cold for 85% of the year.
