Here we have garnishes (cilantro, red onion, jalapeno, limes) for the simple pork posole I made for dinner last night. Simple, yes, but it took three hours to get the broth just right. What a beautiful, satisfying meal! I was going to say that perhaps you make the same meals because those are the things you know how to make. I'm big on following recipes to help me try new things and expand my culinary repertoire. Next in the queue: lentil minestrone and penne with brussels sprouts and gorgonzola.—SF

Looks good! I wish I had me some! It is not that I cook exactly the same things all the time per se. My cooking in dangerous since I rarely use a recipe and often go off on experimental tangents that just don't work. But I do find I need to use recipes from time to time to keep me grounded and find new directions of exploration. The way of cooking keeps it interesting for me but not so much for the wife when things turn out badly. :)
