Spent Sunday afternoon at a gigantic picnic in the Presidio with about 300 San Francisco hipsters. There were food trucks and food booths around the perimeter of the parade grounds, but by the time we got there the lines were already so long. We're talking 20-60 minute wait times. I was hungry and cranky. I spent $26 of Mark's money on a whole fried chicken (9 pieces), which was very delicious. Please spare me the lecture on how you can get a bucket at KFC for $10. When KFC starts using free range birds and setting up shop in the Presidio, then we can talk. Until then, I'm sticking to my story: this chook was finger-lickin' good (and then some).—SF

Well, I did gasp, but not at the price but the fact that the two of you ate a whole fried chicken in one sitting. I think I need to take an extra cholesterol pill at the thought.
ReplyDeleteBy the way. Haven't been to KFC in ages. I didn't know you could get a 9 piece bucket for $10!! Whoo Wheee . . . I know what I am having for lunch today. Extra Crispy with a side of hot sauce!
ReplyDeleteIt was actually between three people. Three pieces each.
