Thanks for giving me the tip to purchase that set of DVDs "The Art of Teaching: Best Practices from a Master Educator from The Great Courses company! Today was the first day of my two week pre-college course on 2-D animation and I did something I have never done before. I asked the students if I could take mug shots of them holding up a card with their names on them. I expected them to be resistant but they understood my desire to remember their names quickly and actually seemed receptive to the idea. So I will go into class tomorrow and know each student by name . . . very cool!—NY
