Hudson on Ice

After I missed my train this morning I strolled over to the frozen Hudson River to snap this picture. It was about 7 degrees and only went up to a high of 18. There ferries in the city were actually shut down for a few days because of large amour of floating ice in the river. I am so jealous of your 60 degree highs! That little shadow in the middle of the shot is me. —NY

World Peace?

This is my ukulele which was made by a northern California company in China. I purchased it from a shop in Hawaii and it was shipped here to New York with strings made in Vicenza, Italy. My handmade strap came from a shop in Chicago that I bought from a music store in Pikeville Kentucky. And Ironically the brand name of the uke also means peace. – NY

Frosty Buns

My first iPhone photo post (Merry Christmas to myself). You are right, they take awesome photos! I got a 5s for myself (smaller size) and a 6 for the Missus. I can actually see the crystalized frost on the high res image. Amazing detail. It was 3 degrees out when I woke up, and probably about 15 degrees when I took this picture while picking up my morning bagel from the street vendor. It looked cold in there. I wouldn't want to be him today. —NY

Dim Sum

I snapped this picture last weekend when we went for Dim Sum. But this poor little guy reminds me of the creatures in that movie Pacific Rim which I watched last night. —NY
